The recently concluded World Cup complicates Inter‘s plans for the right flank. Djed Spence had an excellent tournament, reaching the third-place final, but his performances have raised his valuation to around 40 million euros. Furthermore, the Englishman will not be able to join the team during the scheduled tour, becoming available to Chivu only about ten days before the start of the league, just like Lautaro and Thuram.
According to Tuttosport, these circumstances are pushing the club to consider other solutions. Givairo Read represents an interesting option: in terms of characteristics, he is the most similar to Dumfries among the profiles being monitored. The Dutchman, the youngest among the candidates, has a valuation of around 30 million euros.
Vanderson from Monaco offers greater physical structure, but is coming off a serious injury to his left thigh. From Turkey, Wilfried Singo has also been linked to the Italian champions, valued at 35 million, with a hefty salary of 5 million per season. Guela Doué and Nahuel Molina are very expensive and have characteristics considered too defensive for Inter’s needs.
The Ivan Perisic option remains in the background. The Croatian is waiting for a possible call, buoyed by Chivu’s appreciation, but is aware that Oaktree could block his third return to Milan for age-related reasons.
