The issue related to Benjamin Pavard continues to be a hot topic in the Nerazzurri camp. After Olympique Marseille failed to redeem him, the French defender has returned to Inter and is working under the orders of Cristian Chivu during the training camp in Germany.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri coach has appreciated the spirit with which the former Bayern Munich player has thrown himself back into work. The Frenchman wants to prove his worth on the field: he is making himself fully available to the coach and his teammates, while in Germany he never misses the chance to stop for photos and autographs with fans, before and after every training session.
The chances of a permanent stay will become clearer later, when the players still on vacation return. At that point, a meeting with the full squad will be necessary, and in this phase Chivu‘s contribution could prove fundamental. A year ago, the Romanian coach played an important role in mending the rift that had developed between Calhanoglu and Lautaro.
The newspaper points out that the coach has no prejudice against Pavard. The professionalism shown by the defender in recent days represents a first step, but the final decision will also depend on the internal dynamics of the group once the squad is complete.
