Inter will not have Cristian Romero in the squad for next season. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Argentine defender is now close to moving from Tottenham to Atletico Madrid.
The Nerazzurri club had explored the possibility of bringing him back to Milan, but faced with difficulties, they chose to focus investments on other priorities. Attention has shifted to the arrival of a winger, Spence, and a possible reinforcement in midfield such as Curtis Jones.
On the other hand, the defensive department can count on the return of Benjamin Pavard, back from his loan at Olympique Marseille. The Frenchman is showing full willingness to stay and is impressing with his performances. During the tour between Hong Kong and Australia, he was among the best on the field, showing commitment and a positive attitude in training.
According to the pink newspaper, Pavard could turn out to be an unexpected reinforcement for the coming season. The possibility of his departure remains only if a particularly attractive offer arrives, but at the moment no concrete expressions of interest have emerged.
