The name of Cristian Romero could heat up the coming weeks of the transfer market. Tottenham would be willing to listen to offers for the Argentine defender, according to what has been reported by TeamTalk in England. The initial valuation by the Spurs is around 50 million pounds, about 60 million euros, but the club could open up to a slightly lower figure.
The player remains on the radar of several European giants. Real Madrid and Barcelona have already made contact, while Atletico Madrid continues to closely monitor his situation. Inter has also inquired about the center-back. His name reportedly came up during recent talks with Tottenham regarding Djed Spence, the Nerazzurri’s main target for the right flank.
According to the English report, the two dossiers could proceed in parallel, even though the deal for the Argentine defender remains financially very demanding. Among the possible formulas is a paid loan with an obligation to buy.
Romero would represent a reinforcement of great experience for the Nerazzurri defense. Born in 1998, he already knows Serie A and could provide aggression, leadership, and international personality. Tottenham would like to clarify his future before he returns from his post-World Cup vacation, scheduled for August.
Inter is monitoring the situation, but at the moment it is mainly an exploratory inquiry. To turn it into a real negotiation, much more favorable financial conditions will be needed.
