The future of Cristian Romero remains uncertain. The Argentine defender is expected to leave Tottenham during the summer transfer window, but meeting the English club’s demands will not be easy. The Spurs are asking for around 40 million euros for the centre-back’s transfer.
According to Matteo Moretto, the player would give priority to the Spanish Liga. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have shown interest in the former Atalanta player. The Blaugrana, however, are currently considering strengthening other areas and would need to sell a defender before making a move.
On the financial front, Barcelona would be willing to meet the player’s salary demands, while Inter have no intention of going beyond certain limits. The Nerazzurri are in fact considering withdrawing from the race, also taking into account the salary demands that exceed 7 million euros per season.
