Romano denies the figures: Romero is not asking for 7 million and there is no agreement with Barça

Fabrizio Romano intervenes to clarify the situation of Cristian Romero and denies some rumors that have circulated in recent days. According to the journalist, the case of the Argentine defender cannot be compared to what happened last January with Joao Cancelo: the Portuguese player waited a long time for Barcelona before moving on loan, letting go of the Inter option, which would have welcomed him to temporarily replace the injured Dumfries.

The situation with Cuti is different. The center-back, who has opened up to the Nerazzurri, has not made any pact with the Catalans. The Blaugrana club, as of today, has no certainty of being able to sign him before the transfer window closes. The Argentine is interested in the Nerazzurri project and for this reason, the parties, including Tottenham, have been in talks for days.

The sticking point remains financial, but Romano clarifies an important point: there is no evidence that the player has requested seven million euros per season. The defender’s request is for a salary in line with what he currently earns in London.
