Through some intermediaries, Inter and Juventus are considering a deal that could satisfy both clubs: Nico Gonzalez to the Nerazzurri, Frattesi to the Bianconeri. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there have been contacts in recent hours between Inter and the Argentine’s entourage, who has returned from his loan at Atletico Madrid. Juventus intends to sell him outright, while Inter is watching closely.
The two players have different roles but comparable salaries: the Argentine earns 3.6 million net thanks to the Growth Decree (4.7 gross), compared to the Italian’s 3 million net (5.5 gross). Both are considered surplus by their respective teams. From a technical point of view, both Inter and Juventus could benefit from the deal, but it would also strengthen a direct competitor.
Chivu needs a right winger and is already adapting Diouf to that role, taking advantage of his left foot to cut inside. Spalletti, who has valued Frattesi since his time with the national team, could relaunch him as an attacking midfielder. At the moment, Inter would have a greater advantage, also because Nico Gonzalez could play on the left wing, filling a gap in the squad. Looking ahead, if Juventus were to sell a midfielder, it could be a positive move: the real Frattesi can guarantee 7-8 goals per season.
On the financial side, neither club wants to spend cash nor can afford a capital loss on the balance sheet. Both players were bought for the same amount: 33 million plus bonuses. Nico Gonzalez arrived at Juventus in 2024, so he has one year less of amortization compared to Frattesi. To meet all parameters, the most appropriate valuation for both players could be around 25 million. A straight swap with signatures is difficult, but not impossible, according to the rosea’s website.
