The name of Curtis Jones remains at the top of the Nerazzurri’s wish list to strengthen the midfield. According to the Quotidiano Sportivo, the club is working to create both financial and squad space to accommodate the English player.
Inter is said to have submitted an offer of 35 million euros to Liverpool, an amount lower than the 40 million requested by the Reds for a player who will be entering the final year of his contract. Before raising their offer, the club will need to lighten a midfield department that is currently overcrowded.
Frattesi represents the most logical name for a sale, even though there have been expressions of interest for two years without any concrete proposals. The combined arrival of Romero and Jones would ensure a very high-profile end to the transfer window, but without at least two significant departures, the operation appears difficult to achieve.
