L’Inter negotiates for Romero for 40 million, Spence and Jones fronts open

According to Repubblica, Cristian Romero remains Inter‘s main target to complete the defensive department. The agreement with Tottenham is said to be based on around 40 million euros. The deal with the Argentine defender now appears close, although some financial aspects still need to be defined.

The gap between the Nerazzurri’s offer and the request of the former Atalanta player, who would like a salary close to six million per year, is said to have narrowed. What remains to be clarified are mainly commissions and bonuses. Part of the necessary resources could come from the sale of Benjamin Pavard. His departure would also free up a spot in the backline, allowing Romero to complete a department already strengthened with John Stones, signed on a free transfer from Manchester City.

To replace Dumfries, Chivu is said to have indicated Djed Spence. Tottenham values the winger at around 40 million, a figure considered high by Inter. An internal solution with Andy Diouf remains possible, as he has shown encouraging signs during pre-season.

The main target for the midfield continues to be Curtis Jones. Liverpool is asking for a sum higher than the 35 million that Inter would be ready to invest. The player is said to have already expressed his appreciation for Milan, even through some social media signals.
