Roma has set its sights on Luis Henrique to strengthen the left wing. Inter values the Brazilian at around 30 million euros, and today there were contacts between the parties to assess the possibility of starting negotiations.
An interest that could turn into a deal capable of filling a gap in the Giallorossi squad, but at the same time would open up a new vacancy in the Nerazzurri’s lineup. Not just one winger to buy, therefore, but even two, considering that both flanks would be left without reinforcements. After the departure of Dumfries, first came the failed negotiation for Palestra, then the forced withdrawal from Khalaili, and subsequently only many names linked to the Milan club – Spence, Diaby, Nico Gonzalez among the main ones – but without any deal concluded or really close to completion.
With the possible departure of the Brazilian player, a great deal from a financial point of view, one wonders what the club’s strategy might be, whether there are already clear targets – besides the usual names, which at that point would no longer be enough – and still kept confidential, or whether the Oaktree ownership has as its only guideline that of cashing in, at the expense of the technical project. A legitimate doubt, given the major difficulties shown so far.
With less than two weeks before the start of the season, Chivu would also need a midfielder, a request reiterated several times so far but always unmet, due to the inability to sell Frattesi and Asllani, two significant surplus players but with no offers on the market.
