The lack of approval from CONI for the transfer to Inter has not dampened the market ambitions of Anan Khalaili. The right winger of Union Saint-Gilloise remains available for other destinations, with Italy now excluded for obvious reasons. This was reported by the Belgian newspaper Niewusblad.
According to the publication, the Italian stop is a disappointment for the player, who was strongly interested in the Nerazzurri project, but it does not represent a definitive obstacle to his career. The heart problem found during the medical examinations, in fact, does not prevent Khalaili from playing in other countries. Italian regulations on the matter are known to be among the strictest in Europe, while elsewhere the issue does not raise particular concerns.
In the coming hours, the player will return to Belgium, where he will undergo new medical checks with the assistance of the Union Saint-Gilloise medical staff. The goal is to reassure potential buyers after, on the advice of his entourage, Khalaili had temporarily returned to Israel. Both the club and the agents believe that in other leagues the winger can continue his activity without problems. There are, after all, precedents of footballers whom Italy has prevented from taking the field, but who have continued to play regularly elsewhere.
The focus now shifts to the Premier League, where several clubs have shown interest. Among them are Tottenham and Crystal Palace, who previously had not made a move precisely because the player had given absolute priority to Inter. With the Italian option now definitively off the table, the situation could evolve in the coming weeks.
