The arrival of Curtis Jones enriches the midfield options for Inter, which can count on a large and varied squad in the middle of the park. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the starting five could be made up of Spence, Barella, Calhanoglu, Jones himself, and Dimarco.
But there is no shortage of alternatives: Diouf, Sucic, Zielinski, Mkhitaryan, and Carlos Augusto complete the department. Furthermore, Luis Henrique is on his way out and the Brazilian, like Spence, can be used on both flanks.
The arrival of the Englishman could influence the future of Aleksandar Stankovic, who grew up in the Nerazzurri youth sector under the guidance of Cristian Chivu, like Pio Esposito. During the summer friendlies, the young midfielder was tried as a playmaker, but between Serbia, Bruges, and Lucerne he mainly played in the two deeper midfield roles in a 4-2-3-1.
As the pink newspaper points out, this formation is quite different from the 3-5-2 used by Chivu. The son of the former player is in high demand on the market and Inter has always rejected offers, however, the possibility of a third loan cannot be completely ruled out.
