Curtis Jones represents the main target for Piero Ausilio and the Nerazzurri management in these two weeks of the transfer market. The English midfielder from Liverpool, tied to the Reds until 2027, could be the decisive reinforcement to complete the squad available to Cristian Chivu and bring it closer to the level of the top European teams.
According to the Mirror, the position of the English club has softened over time. At the start of the window, Jones was valued at 40 million euros, considered non-negotiable. Now the figure has dropped to 35 million, leaving open the possibility of further room for negotiation. The player is thus getting closer to wearing the Inter shirt.
The British newspaper explains that the change of course depends on Liverpool’s strategy. After losing Konaté, Salah, and Robertson on free transfers, the Reds’ management wants to cash in from Jones’ sale as soon as possible to reinvest in other targets. This factor makes the club’s position much more flexible compared to the start of the transfer window.
For these reasons, in the coming hours the chances of reaching a definitive agreement and finally seeing the English midfielder wear the Nerazzurri colors could concretely increase.
