Although there are still several months before the transfer market reopens, Inter has already quietly begun preparations. The Nerazzurri club is scouting several young talents with the aim of rejuvenating the roster next summer, with particular attention to Serie A.
Among the players on the Nerazzurri club’s target list, according to background information revealed this morning by Tuttosport, is Dan Ndoye, a player who nearly joined Inter. The winger, currently under contract with Bologna, was linked to the Milan club during the recent European Championship in Germany, and Inter indeed showed more than just casual interest.
According to the Turin-based newspaper, on that occasion, even Dario Baccin travelled personally to view him in action and naturally gave positive feedback. However, the Nerazzurri’s pursuit was halted at the outset by club president Joey Saputo. Inter had identified Ndoye as a perfect alternative both for Dumfries and Dimarco, but Bologna’s refusal quickly ended any negotiation.
It remains to be seen if next summer the Swiss player’s name will once again become popular inside Inter’s offices at Viale della Liberazione.
