The release clause for Jhon Lucumí has expired without any club paying the requested 28 million euros. According to Il Resto del Carlino, Al Hilal has shown interest in the Bologna defender, as they are about to sell Yusuf Akcicek and have also set their sights on Simone Inzaghi.

Despite the possibility of a very lucrative contract from the Saudis, the Colombian’s position does not appear to have changed. The player’s priority remains to talk with Juventus and Inter, should the Nerazzurri decide to make a move. The Milan club is currently focused on signing a right-back, after missing out on Palestra and Khalaili.

The Bianconeri, on the other hand, are ready to take concrete action. Leeds has completed the signing of Muharemovic from Sassuolo for 40 million, with half of the proceeds going to Juventus thanks to a sell-on clause. Twenty million that the Turin club intends to put on the table to sign Lucumí, aiming to get a discount compared to the 28 million of the now-expired clause.

Given that the defender has only one year left on his contract, Juventus aims to negotiate on bonuses and is ready to include a player in the deal to lower the fee. Bologna, for its part, seems intent on asking for 25 million to let their center-back leave.
