At the end of the season – barring any sensational and unexpected twists – Inter will have to move in the market to find a new goalkeeper to add to those already present in the squad, excluding Yann Sommer. The Swiss player’s contract is expiring and he is expected to leave at the end of this Serie A season.
Another club that could change goalkeeper is Milan, with Mike Maignan who could also be sold in the summer of 2026. The Rossoneri, just like Inter, have set their sights on Noah Atubolu, the Freiburg goalkeeper who is making a big impression in Germany and has just been called up to the national team.
The two Milan clubs are not the only ones interested in this German goalkeeper and the competition could be fierce. As reported by today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, in Atubolu’s contract with Freiburg there is a clause of about 15-16 million euros and this has attracted other Bundesliga clubs such as Eintracht.
