The start of the season for Inter is overall positive with a second place just one point behind Napoli, while in the Champions League the journey so far has been excellent with three wins out of three and no goals conceded. Despite this, coach Cristian Chivu has a couple of problems in the squad that need to be resolved as soon as possible.
These are the situations related to Andy Diouf and Luis Henrique who are not performing well, have not yet settled into Serie A and their playing time is very limited. As reported by today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chivu still wants to work with both of them but the club is already thinking about the transfer market. This is the coach’s plan according to the newspaper:
“‘His time will come…’, Chivu said laconically about the young Frenchman on the fringes. The Brazilian colleague on the right wing, on the other hand, has had a few more chances, but always seems to get off at the stop before: the former Marseille player’s train never picks up speed, and there’s no sign of the hoped-for dribbling. In fact, the difference in physical impact compared to Dumfries was glaring, but what worries Inter’s top management is the fact that Luis Henrique, or rather ‘Gigi’ as he is affectionately called, never dares. He instinctively looks for the easiest, most basic play, a dangerous attitude in the long run.”
