Inter intensifies contacts for Cristian Romero. According to what Fabrizio Romano revealed in his latest video on Youtube, the Nerazzurri club is ready to meet with the Argentine defender’s entourage after already starting talks with Tottenham.

The negotiation is not at an advanced stage and presents considerable obstacles, but the Nerazzurri have not abandoned the target. “Before saying it’s done, it will take quite a while. There are major difficulties, the deal is not imminent but Inter is trying,” explained Romano. The decisive step will be the direct meeting with the ‘Cuti’s’ agents, scheduled soon.

Barcelona represents the main competition for the signing of the centre-back. The Blaugrana, however, will first have to sell a defender before being able to make a move, while Inter can act with greater freedom. Tottenham has communicated its willingness to sell Romero: relations between the English club and the player have deteriorated definitively.

“Between Spurs and Romero it’s over. Barcelona is the main competitor, but to sign another defender they will have to sell one, while Inter is ready to try. There have already been contacts with Tottenham,” concluded Romano.
