Giovanni Carnevali spoke in an interview with Tuttosport about the future of some Sassuolo players. The neroverde CEO focused in particular on Tarik Muharemovic, a defender who has attracted the interest of several Italian clubs.
The executive confirmed that there have been contacts for the young center-back: “We have already had some approaches. Not with Bournemouth, but with Inter, yes, although there are no official requests. Even Bologna asked me about Muharemovic the other night.” However, the Emilia club is in no hurry to sell the defender. “We don’t have to sell Muharemovic at all costs. We want to enhance his value,” Carnevali explained.
“For us, Tarik doesn’t have a price today, because a lot depends on who is asking for him. He has great potential, and it’s normal that if a big club comes in, we listen. But then, we also have to find a replacement,” added the CEO. A possible sale of the player could also benefit Juventus, which holds 50% of the resale value of the youngster.
The interview also touched on the topic of Davide Frattesi, who has been linked with the Bianconeri for January. “Frattesi and Raspadori are two players I love; if I were at a big club, I would always sign them. Frattesi is wanted by Juve and can play for any team, also because of his characteristics,” said Carnevali.
The executive recalled that Juventus had already tried to sign the midfielder before his move to Inter: “Juve wanted him when he went to Inter, as did Napoli. Inter was just more determined, and the player’s will made the difference.” On the player’s performance with the Nerazzurri, he concluded: “There are many champions at Inter, but I think Frattesi has always done well. If he plays, he can stand out.”
