After Bisseck and Esposito, Inter is ready to secure another member of the squad. Carlos Augusto is close to renewing his contract, with a meeting between the parties that could take place as early as this week.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Chivu considers the Brazilian a valuable asset in the role of vice-Bastoni. The meeting with agent Giuseppe Riso will also serve to take stock of Frattesi, another client of the agent with whom the Nerazzurri have ongoing matters.

On the table is a proposal of around 3 million per year for the full-back, a figure slightly lower than the player’s initial demands. The current agreement with the South American expires in June 2028, but the club wants to move ahead of schedule to ensure stability for the technical project.

At 27 years old, the player is in the prime of his professional maturity and the club intends to secure his services for the long term, further strengthening the squad available to the coach.
