According to Il Giorno, Inter has scheduled a meeting next week between sporting director Baccin and the agent of Hakan Calhanoglu, Gordon Stipic, to discuss the renewal of the Turkish midfielder’s contract. The Nerazzurri club continues to work on contract extensions, a well-established strategy on Viale della Liberazione to ensure continuity for the project.
The Turkish midfielder remains a top priority despite management’s concerns related to the physical problems of the 1994-born player, who has missed 38 matches due to injury since arriving in Milan. In the background remain the interests of Galatasaray and Juventus, but the club does not intend to part with one of the best in his role. The Nerazzurri’s proposal includes a two-year extension with a reduction in salary from the current 6.5 million net to 4.5 million, conditions that do not meet the player’s approval. The negotiation, however, is only at the beginning.
Also on the table are the renewals of Dimarco and Carlos Augusto. For the Brazilian, assisted by Beppe Riso and tied to the club until 2028, there should be no obstacles to an extension until 2030 with an increase compared to the current 2.2 million net. For Dimarco, who has already met in Madrid with agent Arturo Canales together with Baccin, the idea is to raise his salary from 4.5 to 6 million net, with the current expiration set for 2027 plus an option for an additional year in the club’s hands.
