In recent days, there has been a lot of talk about the future of Hakan Calhanoglu due to persistent rumors circulating mainly in Turkey. It seems that Galatasaray wants to make another attempt for the Inter midfielder, after a series of failed efforts last summer when the rift with the Nerazzurri club seemed irreparable.

Today, Corriere della Sera has provided some clarity on the future of the former Milan player with new reports. The newspaper, in fact, described as “an impossible operation” the deal that Galatasaray would like to pursue in January to bring Calhanoglu to Turkey. For Inter, the playmaker is currently untouchable and his departure is not being considered at all.

On the contrary, those at Viale della Liberazione are ready to start a new dialogue with his entourage to discuss a possible contract renewal. Calhanoglu’s current contract expires in June 2027: as of today, it is still too early to make predictions, but compared to a few months ago, an extension is no longer seen as an unrealistic scenario.
