Aleksandar Stankovic has rejected an important offer from the Premier League. Brentford put 40 million euros on the table for the young midfielder, but both the player and Inter turned down the proposal.
On Twitter, Bruno Longhi explained the situation: “The 40 million offer seems to have arrived. So the problem is not selling him. But finding him a destination that he likes. From Bruges to Inter he made an upgrade. Now he wouldn’t want to make a downgrade.”
Sandro Sabatini, speaking on Youtube after the friendly with Milan, spoke about the midfielder: “It was the first time I watched him closely, he looks just like his father in the way he moves and runs, with less strength and less explosiveness, he really reminds me of Dejan. For 40 million I’d tie a bow and send him off, but I wouldn’t want to be too hasty. But if someone is already worth 40 million, it means there’s something important there.”
The young midfielder has therefore decided to stay, not liking a transfer that he considers a step back compared to the growth path he started with the move from Bruges to Milan.
