The transfer market has just ended, with Inter pulling off the Akanji deal at the same time as Pavard’s departure. It was a complicated summer session, which left a bit of a feeling of incompleteness in the Nerazzurri camp, as also reported by the Corriere dello Sport.
The newspaper, in fact, highlights how Inter did not spend their entire available budget, preferring to save the remaining funds, as they did not identify suitable profiles and opportunities in the final weeks of the market. However, the investment may have simply been postponed to the January transfer window.
With the arrivals of Diouf and Akanji in August, it is possible that the 20-25 million euros still available will be invested in a specific target missing from the squad: the “dribbler”. The Corriere dello Sport rules out a renewed interest in Lookman and mentions other targets. One of these could be Malick Fofana from Lyon.
