This morning, UEFA released the referee assignments for the Champions League matches to be played in this round. Among them, of course, is Inter-Kairat, which has been entrusted to the Portuguese referee Luis Godinho, born in 1985, who will be assisted by his compatriots Rui Teixeira and Pedro Almeida.
In his career, Godinho has never officiated matches of Inter or Kairat but has refereed two matches of Italian clubs and things went quite well for them. First, a clear 0-3 victory for Roma against Zorya in the Conference League 2021/22 and then a 1-1 draw for Fiorentina in the same competition on the field of Ferencvárosi in 2023/24.
