Speaking in front of the Sky cameras before the Venezia–Inter match, Nicola explained the reasons for the lineup changes and talked about the Stankovic case, brothers divided between the two teams on the field.
“We made changes because we have a squad group and we need to bring everyone to the same level,” said the coach of the lagoon team. “Three matches in a week are not easy. As I always say, you have to play according to what we are preparing, trying to give the maximum possible.”
Nicola then added a reflection on his work philosophy: “I firmly believe that every team has its own qualities, I just try to show the uniqueness they have. I believe in work and in the ability of a squad group to never give up, even if things don’t always go well.”
On the topic of the Stankovic brothers, one lined up for Venezia and the other as an opponent in the black and blue shirt, Nicola ended with an affectionate joke: “The family must be proud, we are proud of our Stankovic but the other one also has his qualities. We wish the other one good luck from the next match onwards.”
