The complete British trio could be seen together for the first time against Napoli. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it is unlikely that Djed Spence will be called up for the away match in Cagliari: among the three Englishmen who arrived at the Nerazzurri, he is the furthest behind in preparation, still inactive after the holidays following the World Cup.
John Stones remains the most advanced. The defender was the first to be signed and the only one to have already played: in the friendlies and then last Saturday against Monza, when he came on with the match already in hand.
Curtis Jones is in an intermediate situation. The midfielder returned to Milan after obtaining his work permit in England and will train with the group today. The preparation carried out with Liverpool already puts him in a position to be useful, perhaps as early as Sunday evening’s match against the Sardinians.
To see Stones, Jones, and Spence all called up for the same match, we will have to wait: Chivu could have the full package available only for the big match against Napoli.
