As repeatedly affirmed both by president Beppe Marotta and coach Simone Inzaghi, Inter in 2025 will have transfer sessions in which it will renew its squad with the aim of lowering the average age, a very dear purpose to the new owners of Oaktree.
Among the departments in need of new additions, the defensive one stands out, especially in the role of central defenders. To date, Stefan De Vrij, despite an excellent first part of the season, has a contract expiring in June and there are still no certainties about a renewal. Then there is also Francesco Acerbi who, due to a very high age and a series of physical problems, should leave the team at the end of the season.
As reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport, Inter currently has three options to choose the new central defender and all of them come from Serie A. The favorite is Isak Hien from Atalanta, while the other two alternative tracks are Jaka Bijol from Udinese and Mario Gila from Lazio.
