Planning well in advance, Inter has resolved the main contractual issues related to players expiring at the end of this season. Thanks to the latest renewal of Denzel Dumfries, the black and blue club can enter the last six months of the season without running the risk of losing their gems for free next summer.
However, there are some Inter fans who will be forced to leave the club for free in a few months due to expired contracts with Inter. These are players who are no longer part of the club’s future plans and for whom no concrete negotiations have ever been initiated to reach an agreement for an extension.
There are five Inter players with contracts expiring on June 30, 2025.
The first is Ionut Radu, who returned to Appiano Gentile last summer and stayed in the absence of concrete proposals. The Romanian goalkeeper has recently received some enquiries and could leave Inter permanently as early as the January session.
Raffaele Di Gennaro, who is currently out due to injury, could extend his contract again. The third black and blue goalkeeper has a considerable chance of staying with Inter for at least another season.
No proposals will be made, however, for Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa. The Austrian striker could even leave in the January market due to the strong pressure from Torino. The Argentine, who has been growing steadily in recent months, will stay until next June. For him too, there does not seem to be a chance for a future outside of Inter.
Stefan de Vrij deserves a separate chapter, as he’s the most important player on this list due to the extensive amount of game time he’s had this season. The Dutch centre-back, in great form following Acerbi’s injury, has a clause on his contract for an automatic renewal for another season: an option that only Inter can activate by next June. Maintaining this level of performance, it is very likely that the former Lazio player could stay for another year.
