The international break has disrupted the start of Inter’s season after just 3 Serie A matches, but it has not dampened the enthusiasm of the Nerazzurri fans. There’s great energy for the team’s upcoming matches under Inzaghi, and particularly for the derby with Milan.

This is demonstrated by the projected revenues for the match on September 22. Of course, San Siro will be sold out, but the surprising numbers from the box office are set to break a new record for Serie A.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the total amount will be around 7 million euros, higher than the 6.6 million from the 2019 Inter-Juventus match, the current record for the Italian championship. This enthusiasm is also justified by the historicity of the match: it will be the first derby with the second star on the chest.
