The decision by Cristian Chivu not to field Petar Sucic in today’s derby against Milan has sparked curiosity among Inter fans, but the reasons are not related to any physical problems for the player.

The Croatian midfielder has in fact left the training camp in Perth to return to Italy. Sucic‘s wife is about to give birth and the Nerazzurri player has chosen to return home to be present for the birth of his child, an important moment that led to the decision to leave the group early.

His absence from the field, therefore, is not a concern from a technical or athletic point of view: it is a personal and understandable choice, dictated by a family event of great significance for the Croatian footballer.
