As of this morning, a new player has officially joined the list of those unavailable for the upcoming Serie A big match between Atalanta and Inter, scheduled for the 29th matchday. The match, to be played at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo on Sunday, March 16th at 8:45 PM, could significantly impact the title race between these two teams, which, alongside Napoli, are currently battling for the top spot in the standings.
The latest confirmed absence due to injury is Juan Cuadrado. The Colombian winger, who last season wore the shirt of Inter, will miss the match against his former team because of a first-degree lesion affecting the fascia of his right biceps femoris muscle, sustained against Juventus in the previous round, as reported by Sky Sport.
Interestingly, Cuadrado’s injury further weakens the winger department, a position coach Simone Inzaghi is currently struggling the most with. Although Carlos Augusto has recovered, the Nerazzurri manager still cannot count on Zalewski, Darmian, and Dimarco. Additional injured players include Zielinski, who is expected to return only at the beginning of May, and de Vrij, who was forced out during last night’s pre-match warm-up due to knee discomfort.
