The draw of Inter at Monza was the subject of discussion in the latest episode of Pressing, where focus was also on Simone Inzaghi’s choices. The Nerazzurri coach made some rotations considering the imminent commitments with Manchester City and Milan, but the responses received were probably not those expected. Sandro Sabatini expressed himself as follows on the coach’s management and attitude:
“Inter made a somewhat particular turnover. Inzaghi has taken out those who, except for Lautaro, are the three best players on the team, namely Barella, Calhanoglu and Bastoni. And the simultaneous absence of the first two in midfield was noticeable.”
“Sometimes we talk about attitude, this is the classic match where we have to talk about attitude. You realize it when you switch from the intensity, the fury and the attitude – indeed – of Napoli in Cagliari and then you see Inter. Wasn’t it presumptuous? Then it was very light, which is perhaps worse. It seemed to me one of those teams that, with the shield on the chest, thinks ‘imagine if we don’t score a goal at Monza…'”
