The draw for the League Phase of the Champions League 2026-2027 took place yesterday in Monte Carlo. Inter, the only Italian team placed in the first pot, will play at home against Liverpool, Club Brugge, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Stuttgart. The away matches will see the Nerazzurri face Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Feyenoord, and Slovan Bratislava.

Sandro Sabatini, journalist for Sport Mediaset, commented on the outcome of the draw during an appearance on YouTube. According to the journalist, Inter should finish among the top 8 at the end of the single group stage, thus securing direct access to the round of 16 and avoiding the playoffs.

Sabatini said he is convinced that the Nerazzurri will achieve this goal, while admitting to finding himself in a paradoxical situation with Inter.
