Beppe Riso, a well-known Italian sports agent, has given an interview to colleagues at La Repubblica. Among others, he is also the agent of some important players at Inter, one of them being Davide Frattesi and he also spoke about the possible exit of the former Sassuolo midfielder who in January seemed a step away from leaving.
The team that seemed closest was Roma but Riso reveals: It was my idea. Or, if you prefer, my insistence. I saw Davide upset because he expected to play more and I felt too sorry. I started working to find alternatives for him, and not only in Italy. When you talk about Frattesi, of course, the Roma option must be considered, but I also had important solutions in the Liga and especially the Premier League. If the operation had been done, I would have tried to bring Cristante to Inter. But everything stopped at Davide’s will, who cares too much about staying at Inter. The team is playing for everything, it is one of the strongest in Europe. He knows he can still win a lot in Milan.
Frattesi’s agent then closes by upping the ante, affirming that from now until summer, things can completely change: I always have to do what is best for my players. Davide is a boy of heart, of feeling. I saw him in difficulty, I put him in a position to decide and he chose Inter. I didn’t force him. I think I helped him understand that where he is, is good. And I also understood it. Goodbye postponed until the summer? Difficult to tell. June is far away and in football things change quickly.
