The winter transfer window for Inter was practically at zero cost since the operations involved loans of outgoing players Palacios to Monza and Buchanan to Villarreal, plus the addition of Zalewski from Roma. Therefore, Inter’s budget has not seen any new positive or negative developments.
As emphasized today by La Repubblica, however, Inter will need to do more in the summer transfer market and renew the squad in order to bring about some changes in the Nerazzurri environment and also bring in fresh blood with young players who can lower the average age of the team at Simone Inzaghi’s disposal.
Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has in fact already booked the first signing, which is the young Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb. However, he will need to do more and bring new players to Inter with president Beppe Marotta, who is trying to convince Oaktree to allocate a higher budget for the summer transfer session.
