The defeat in Inter-Fiorentina did not sit well with Raffaele Palladino. Indeed, in the post-match of the San Siro match, the coach complained a lot about the concession of the corner kick from which the first Nerazzurri goal was born.
The referee awarded the corner after a rebound from Bastoni’s cross. However, the decision only came in when the ball had already left the field. According to the VAR protocol, however, there was no option to change the decision, as they were two different actions.
These are the words of Palladino at the press conference:
“You know that I never like to talk about referees. But we are angry about Inter’s goal. Here we are facing a serious and objective mistake: the VAR protocol must change. This is how matches are decided.”
