The head-to-head clash between Roma and Inter at the Olimpico could give the first shake-up to the championship. Both teams come into the match with full points, ready to put on a game that promises to be spectacular. Dario Marcolin analyzed the match scheduled for today, speaking on the sidelines of the Sanremo Padel Experience.
“We are at the fifth matchday, there is less tactical play and more offensive freedom, and the two best attacks are facing each other. The equation is clear: lots of entertainment and potentially lots of goals,” declared the former midfielder. For Marcolin, Roma and Inter are “the two teams that at this moment, together with Como, are showing something different from the others, and they are the beauty of our championship.”
Among the key players expected to make a difference, Marcolin identified two men in particular. “This year Dybala has started strong, so for Roma it will be fundamental to have him in good shape. He is the player who makes the difference in the last thirty meters, he has a different quality. He seems more like a player from our times, the famous ‘number ten’.” On the other side there is Barella, indicated as the real thermometer of Inter.
“If Barella is on, Inter is on. If Barella has some problems, Inter struggles more to find their rhythm. You find him high, you find him low, you find him scoring goals. These are the two players, in addition to the strikers, who can make the difference. They are the pulse of the team,” explained Marcolin.
The former midfielder then broadened his view to the other big teams in the championship, still searching for the right balance. “The result is fundamental, the victory before the break, because it gives coaches three weeks of work,” he observed. About Napoli, Marcolin spoke of “a work in progress,” while about Milan he commented: “We are getting to know this Milan, we see one first half in one way and the second in another, many changes and many substitutions.”
