Inter-Napoli prohibited for residents of Campania and the province of Genoa

The match between Inter and Napoli, scheduled at the Meazza on September 5 at 6 pm, will be prohibited for residents of Campania and the province of Genoa. The decision was made by the prefect of Milan, as was predictable in light of recent precedents.

According to La Repubblica, relations between the two sets of supporters remain very tense, especially after the death of Inter ultra Daniele Belardinelli during clashes in Milan in 2018. That tragedy deeply affected the relationship between the organized groups from the two cities.

The ban extended to the province of Genoa follows a recommendation from the Committee for the Analysis of the Safety of Sporting Events. The aim is to prevent Genoa ultras, who are twinned with the Napoli fans, from joining them for the match. There is, in fact, a significant precedent: the attack on Inter fans in December 2025 near the Marassi stadium in Genoa, with the participation of Napoli ultras.

The authorities have therefore decided on restrictive measures in order to prevent episodes of violence and ensure safety during the match.
