Inter-Aasen 16-0, Pio Esposito scores five in friendly

The team led by Cristian Chivu played their first friendly of the season in Donaueschingen, overwhelming SV Aasen 1928 with a resounding 16-0. The first goal of the new season was scored by Davide Frattesi, assisted by Piotr Zielinski. The Nerazzurri midfielder found the net again shortly after, taking advantage of a defensive error by the opponents.

From the fifteenth minute onwards, Luka Topalovic took command, the best among the young players on the field. The Nerazzurri talent scored a hat-trick and hit the crossbar, which could have further increased his tally. The sixth goal of the first half was instead scored by Mosconi, used both as a striker and as a right winger, assisted by Lavelli.

In the second half of the match, Chivu reshaped the lineup: Martinez in goal, Bisseck, Bovio and Carlos Augusto in defense, Diouf and Dimarco on the wings, Barella, Stankovic and Mkhitaryan in midfield. Up front, Pio Esposito and Iddrissou were deployed.

The seventh goal came immediately with Diouf, while the eighth was scored by Pio Esposito, who finished with his left foot after a low cross from the left by Federico Dimarco. The ninth goal was scored by Iddrissou, who did well to put the ball in the net after a short rebound from the German goalkeeper on a shot by Esposito. Shortly after, Diouf scored his personal brace, again assisted by Dimarco.

Pio Esposito completed his brace before the goal by Dimarco, who scored with a splendid shot from the edge of the box with his right foot. Iddrissou also scored his personal brace. The match was practically played in one direction until the final whistle, with Pio Esposito as the absolute protagonist thanks to five goals that brought the final score to 16-0.

Ivan Provedel did not take part in the test, kept at rest purely as a precaution while he completes his recovery from a back injury, and Massolin was also absent due to slight muscle fatigue.
