Ciccio Graziani analyzed the situation of the Nerazzurri attack ahead of the return of Marcus Thuram. The former striker, speaking to the microphones of Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, expressed his opinion on the hierarchy available to Inter for the 2026/27 season.
“When Thuram returns, Pio Esposito will be sacrificed. It’s true that there are many matches and there will be space for everyone, but today the starters for Inter are Thuram and Lautaro,” Graziani declared. According to the former footballer, Bonny and Pio Esposito become the alternatives to the starting pair.
“Today they are still alternatives, there’s nothing to be done, because the starters are the other two,” he continued. Graziani then emphasized that, despite the numerous rotations guaranteed by the five substitutions, coming on during the match is different from being a starter. “It’s true that there are a lot of games and the five substitutions are important, so there’s more chance to come on. But often you only play short spells.”
The former striker concluded by highlighting the importance of continuity for the growth of young players: “It’s different from taking on the responsibility of being a starter, because it’s through that continuity that a young player grows technically, tactically, and also in terms of character.”
