A day ahead of the return to training scheduled by Cristian Chivu for tomorrow, today as many as five Inter players will be at Appiano Gentile. These are five injured players who will have to continue their rehabilitation process with the goal of quickly becoming available again and overcoming their respective issues: Darmian, Di Gennaro, Mkhitaryan, Palacios, and Dumfries.

The first four have been sidelined for weeks now and are dealing with much more serious problems compared to the Dutchman. Among them, only Matteo Darmian has a chance to return soon and rejoin group training. The situation is different for Denzel Dumfries, who is currently an indispensable starter in Chivu‘s lineup.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the Dutchman will undergo a new physiotherapy session today at Appiano to address the discomfort in his left ankle that has been bothering him since the Inter-Lazio match in the last round of the league. Dumfries‘s clear objective remains next Sunday’s derby between Inter-Milan, so we will see if tomorrow afternoon—when training resumes—he will immediately rejoin the Nerazzurri group.
