According to Sky Sport, Federico Dimarco took part in the entire training session with the group at Appiano Gentile. The wing-back, who missed the away match in Madrid against Real due to a knee issue, is therefore potentially available for Monday’s match against Udinese at San Siro.
The condition of the winger does not raise any particular alarms, but the club prefers to manage his recovery without rushing things. The broadcaster’s correspondent Matteo Barzaghi gave an update from the training ground: “Dimarco was fully with the group today, he is potentially recoverable for Udinese but we understand there is a lot of caution regarding his use. There is no desire to take risks, things will be assessed day by day, Chivu will then make the final decision but the most likely scenario at the moment is that, even if he is called up, he will not be risked immediately on Monday, and could instead return on Saturday against Roma. For now, the prevailing approach is one of caution.”
Inter‘s strategy therefore seems to be aimed at a gradual return: a possible call-up without starting him, with an actual return expected for the following match against the Giallorossi. The assessment will continue in the coming hours, with the coach having the final say.
