Federico Dimarco is preparing to reclaim his starting spot in the match at the Olimpico against Roma. The left winger will return to the starting lineup alongside Lautaro Martinez, as reported by Tuttosport. His return comes after the minor physical issue that forced him to miss the away match in Madrid against Real and most of the game against Udinese.
In this early phase of the season, Dimarco has recorded one assist but no goals, numbers far from last season’s figures when he finished with 7 goals and 18 assists in the league. The wingback will resume regular training with the group today, unlike other teammates who are still dealing with physical problems.
On the contract front, the winger is waiting to discuss with the club an adjustment to his current salary of 4 million euros. The existing contract expires in 2028. Dimarco will return to dictating the tempo of play on the left flank, where he represents one of the main weapons for the attacking play.
Spence, on the other hand, continues his individual training and will complete the reconditioning phase in the coming days. Calhanoglu, sidelined due to a strain in his right adductor, is aiming to return at the end of September in time for the matches with the Turkish national team. Stones, finally, risks being out for about a month.
