In the latest round of the women’s Serie A, an incredible comeback took place by Inter in their high-stakes clash against Juventus. It all unfolded in stoppage time of the second half, when the Nerazzurre turned the score around and took home three crucial points, fueling hopes for an end-of-season run in which every match must now be won.

On matchday five of the Poule Scudetto, Inter defeated Juventus 3-2 at home at the Arena Civica. The Bianconere initially took the lead just before halftime, at the 45th minute, before Tomaselli equalized for Inter in the 55th minute. Late in the match, Juventus appeared set for victory with a goal scored in the 88th minute, but a penalty converted by Wullaert in the 92nd minute and another goal by Polli in the 94th minute secured all three points for Inter.

An extraordinary comeback for Gianpiero Piovani‘s team, who thus managed to close the gap on league leaders Juventus in the standings: the Bianconere now have 49 points, while Inter climbs to 42. With four more games to go, achieving the Scudetto title will remain very difficult, but mathematically the dream is still alive, and the Nerazzurre can continue to believe.
