One of the Inter’s market targets is Jonathan David, who has long been considered among the potential reinforcements for Simone Inzaghi’s squad ahead of the 2025/26 season. The striker, born in 2000, is approaching the expiration of his current contract with Lille and will move to a new club on a free transfer this summer.

According to information from Sky Sport, however, the economic demands made by the Canadian player and his representatives are substantially high. Reportedly, they request an annual salary of €9 million gross, a signing bonus of approximately €15 million, plus an additional €10 million in agent fees. Consequently, any club acquiring David will have to make a considerable financial effort, despite avoiding transfer fee costs.

Among the clubs interested in David, Inter has been monitoring his situation for some time and must now evaluate whether to commit such figures to strengthen their attack. Juventus is also pursuing the striker potentially as a replacement for Vlahovic, alongside several English clubs and Barcelona. Premier League clubs are, indeed, the wealthiest in this group but operate under different fiscal regulations, which could make them reluctant to accept such high salary demands.
