Another surprise name has been linked to Inter’s transfer market, and it’s already known within the Italian league. This morning’s edition of Rome-based la Repubblica reported the rumor, stating that Simone Inzaghi has set his sights on bringing one of this season’s top Lazio talents to the Nerazzurri next year.
We’re talking about Gustav Isaksen, the winger born in 2001 who has bloomed remarkably during this season under coach Baroni. Despite his highly attacking characteristics, the Danish attacker would reportedly be adapted by Inter’s manager as a winger covering the entire flank. He represents a profile similar to that of Ndoye, another player whom Inter monitored last summer and who still remains on the club’s radar.
According to the newspaper, besides Inter, Tottenham is also reportedly willing to invest up to €40 million for his signature. The Danish player possesses excellent one-on-one skills, a quality which is arguably missing from Inzaghi’s current squad. However, significant doubts remain regarding the tactical role Isaksen would hold at Inter, as well as concerns over his high valuation.
