A huge debate has arisen in recent days around the figure of Mkhitaryan. In addition to a decrease in performance compared to the last season, the Armenian midfielder has been the target of criticism for statements made on Sunday evening in Turin after Inter’s defeat against Juventus.
This particular statement did not sit well with some Inter fans: Maybe the problem is that knowing we are too strong, sometimes we relax too much, going into games unfocused, thinking we will win this game. And we’re paying for it. I’m not saying there is a lack of physical or technical ability, but this is perhaps what doesn’t bother us.
Probably to respond to a few too many accusations, around 7:00 this morning the Armenian midfielder reshared posts highlighting some numbers from his impressive career through Instagram stories. At an unusually early time, Mkhitaryan also reposted a snippet of his post-match statements against Juventus. What could Inter’s midfielder have meant with this response?
