As anticipated yesterday, at the resumption of training at Appiano Gentile, president Beppe Marotta was present along with the rest of the management team: from sports director Piero Ausilio, to vice director Dario Baccin and naturally the vice president Javier Zanetti.

As revealed this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club’s number one’s speech was rather short and direct. He spent about ten minutes in the locker room before returning to the field to prepare for the next league match against Genoa. Marotta, in particular, chose not to point the finger at anyone, but rather to stimulate and support the coach and players.

As summarized by the pink newspaper, the three key words of his speech were trust, motivation and reprimand. The president wanted to convey total trust to the whole group, urging the team to overcome this moment. He recalled the qualities of a squad that has done extraordinary things in recent years, emphasizing how important this moment is for the entire season.

To win, more is needed, and this was clearly conveyed by Marotta to his boys. Hence the call for more attention, to the care of details in order to raise performance and return to the high levels that have become customary from that side.
