Among the ideas of Inter for the next season, there’s definitely that of adding at least one more central defender to the squad. It’s true that the nerazzurri club has already decided to extend the contracts of Acerbi and de Vrij for another season, moving the two deadlines to June 2026, but at the same time, it does not exclude interventions in the defensive department.
Among the profiles that have drawn the most attention in the Italian championship, there are in particular Jaka Bijol and Sam Beukema. Both young and not too expensive profiles, but especially with significant experience in Serie A. This year, the one who is certainly establishing himself, is the Dutchman from Bologna.
Interviewed on the pages of La Gazzetta dello Sport, this morning Beukema commented on the interest expressed by Inter – and not only – in his words: “My dad is my agent along with another person, I always told them: when there is something very concrete, let’s talk about it. Otherwise, nothing. Hence: we have never talked about the market, but I am in love with Bologna, a special city, polite people and passionate fans. I have spent many summers as a child in Riccione, we have an apartment there: I like everything about this territory.”
